Clinical Study of Gallamine Triethiodide(Myraxan^(®)) Patients wit Postoperative Pain

Abstract
|
|
|
The authors studied efficacy of Gallamine Triethiodide Myraxan® to 20 patients with postoperative pain during two months from January 1992 to February 1992.
Treatment schedule was IV injection of 10mg for immediate postoperative day, and then, I.M. injection for following postoperative 5 days, twice a day. Results were as follows:
l . Twenty patients were 7(35%) in male and 13 (65%) in female.
2. Average age of the patients was 45.9year with rare from 26 to 64 year old.
3. Effectiveness rates at 2 weeps were good in 85% and fair in 15%
4. Adverse effects were headache in 2 patients and abdominal discomfort
This study suggested that Gallamine triethiodide is an effective and safe drug for patient the pain in postoperative patients of orthropedic surgery.
